How ContinuForge works

Step-by-step workflow

1. Install the extension. Download the ZIP, extract it to a permanent folder and load it from Chrome’s extensions page.
2. Create an account or sign in. The account is used for the license and move counter.
3. Confirm your email. After confirmation, Free receives three base moves.
4. Open the conversation. Add labels to important decisions and tasks when useful.
5. Click “Continue in a new chat”. ContinuForge prepares the project context, opens a new conversation and starts the continuation.
6. Continue working. The new conversation receives the project’s working foundation and is ready for the next task.

Update context without moving

When you do not need a new chat, choose “Update project context”. ContinuForge creates a current snapshot of the goal, decisions, completed work, current task and next steps. This feature is included in Free.

How this differs from the manual method

You can always copy recent messages or write your own summary. That method requires selecting facts, constraints and unresolved questions again for every move. ContinuForge uses a consistent structure and can use labels saved by the user.

• Update the extension on chrome://extensions and reload ChatGPT.
• Check the version number on the updates page.
